1. Acceptance of Terms
By using FamilySync, creating an account, signing in with Apple or Google, or continuing to use the app, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
When you sign in with Apple or Google, you authorize FamilySync to use basic account information such as your email address, display name and authentication identifier to create your account, manage family rooms, invitations and subscription access.
2. App Purpose
FamilySync is designed to help users organize family tasks, reminders, daily plans and household responsibilities.
The app is provided as a planning and organization tool. Users are responsible for the information they create and manage inside the app.
3. User Content
Users may enter tasks, notes, reminders, names, roles and planning information. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you enter is accurate and appropriate.
Content shared inside a family room may be visible to other members of that room depending on the app’s sharing, visibility and membership settings.
4. Accounts and Family Rooms
FamilySync may allow users to create or join family rooms. A family room may include shared tasks, notes, reminders, calendar-related entries, member names, roles and invitation information.
Users are responsible for managing who they invite to a family room and for the information they share with other members.
Room owners may have additional controls, such as inviting members, removing members or closing a family room. Closing a family room may remove access for all members and deactivate shared room functionality.
5. Sign-In and Account Information
FamilySync may support account sign-in through Apple or Google. These sign-in methods may provide basic account information such as email address, display name, profile photo URL if available and an authentication identifier.
This information may be used to create or identify your FamilySync account, connect you to a family room, manage invitations, verify membership and support subscription access.
If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, Apple may provide a private relay email address. FamilySync may use that private relay email for account-related functionality.
6. Subscriptions and Purchases
FamilySync may offer premium features through App Store subscriptions or one-time purchases.
- Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled according to Apple’s subscription rules.
- Users can manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple ID settings.
- Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.
- Premium access may be associated with a family room where supported by the app.
- If premium access ends, premium features may become unavailable for the room or its members.
7. Apple Terms
App Store purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple and may be subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Apple Standard EULA8. Sign-Out, Account Deletion and Room Closure
Users may sign out of the app without deleting their account data. Signing out does not automatically delete family room data, shared content or subscription records.
Where supported in the app, users may leave a family room or close a family room if they are the room owner. Closing a family room may remove access for all members and deactivate shared room features.
Users may request account deletion or data removal by contacting DarkLag Software at the email address listed below. Some records may be retained where necessary for security, diagnostics, legal compliance, purchase verification or service integrity.
9. No Warranty
FamilySync is provided as-is. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted or suitable for every specific situation.
10. Limitation of Liability
DarkLag Software is not responsible for missed reminders, incorrect entries, user-created content, device issues, Apple service interruptions, authentication provider issues, synchronization issues or losses resulting from use of the app.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page.
