1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to FamilySync, a family planning and organization app developed by DarkLag Software.

FamilySync helps users organize shared tasks, reminders, daily plans, household responsibilities and family-related information.

3. Account Sign-In and Authentication

FamilySync may allow users to sign in with Apple or Google. When a user signs in, we may process basic account information such as email address, display name, profile photo URL if available, authentication provider and Firebase user identifier.

This information is used to create and manage the user’s FamilySync account, identify family room membership, manage invitations, synchronize family-related access and verify subscription access.

If a user chooses to hide their email address when signing in with Apple, Apple may provide a private relay email address. FamilySync may store and use that private relay email address for account-related functionality.

Authentication may be handled through Apple, Google and Firebase Authentication. Use of these services may also be subject to their own privacy policies and account settings.

4. iCloud and Family Sharing Features

FamilySync may use Apple services such as iCloud, CloudKit or Family Sharing to support synchronization, shared access or subscription-related functionality where available.

Use of Apple services is subject to Apple’s own privacy policy and account settings.

5. Permissions

FamilySync may request permissions only when needed for app functionality.

• Notification permission may be used for reminders and alerts.
• Calendar-related access may be requested if calendar features are enabled.
• iCloud access may be used for sync-related functionality.
• Network access may be used for App Store services, diagnostics, support, authentication or Apple system services.

Users can manage permissions through iOS Settings.

6. Purchases and Subscriptions

FamilySync may offer premium features through App Store subscriptions or one-time purchases. Payments are processed by Apple.

DarkLag Software does not collect or store credit card numbers, banking information or full payment credentials.

Subscription access may be associated with a family room where supported by the app. Subscription status may be used to determine whether premium features are available to a room or its members.

7. Information We May Process

• Tasks, notes, reminders and planning details entered by the user
• Family member display names or role labels entered inside the app
• Account sign-in information such as email address, display name, profile photo URL if available and authentication provider
• Firebase user identifier used to manage account access and family room membership
• Family room identifiers, invitation status and membership role information
• Subscription access status associated with a family room where applicable
• App settings, language settings and feature preferences
• Device model, operating system version and app version
• Crash reports, diagnostics and performance information if enabled
• Support messages voluntarily sent by the user

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. Information may be shared only when necessary to operate app functionality, authenticate users, manage family room access, process App Store purchases, provide diagnostics, comply with legal requirements or respond to support requests.

FamilySync may rely on service providers such as Apple, Google or Firebase for authentication, synchronization, purchase verification, diagnostics or app functionality.

9. User Control and Account Deletion

Users can create, edit and delete planning information inside the app. Users can also manage permissions, iCloud settings and subscription settings through iOS and Apple account settings.

If account sign-in is used, users may request account deletion or data removal by contacting DarkLag Software at the email address listed below. Where supported in the app, users may also sign out, leave a family room or close a family room if they are the room owner.

Closing a family room may remove user access to shared family content and deactivate the room for its members. Some records may be retained where necessary for security, diagnostics, legal compliance, purchase verification or service integrity.

10. Children’s Privacy

FamilySync is intended as a family organization tool. The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate user action or guardian involvement.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page with a revised update date.
